About us
Our company was founded in 1993 by the German company RWE AG. In 2004 the company name was changed to the current name AVE CZ odpadové hospodářství s.r.o. and since 2013, we have had a Czech owner.
We are growing, but we maintain a friendly atmosphere.
Our long-term and sustainable growth is not based on expanding from the center to the regions but on adding smaller local companies to our group. Local companies remain themselves and are not forcibly changed into a uniform corporate copy of the parent company. This allows us to maintain a culture of small teams working together towards a common goal. For the employees, this means maintaining the atmosphere they loved in their jobs and strengthening their security and background thanks to a new strong partner - AVE.

The growing number of employees demonstrates the success of our business and how we care for our employees. Judge for yourself: at the time of the name change to AVE, we had 448 employees, which more than doubled to 990 within two years, to 1,279 in 2012 and nearly 1,900 in 2015. In 10 years, the number of employees has almost quadrupled. This proves that our company culture and care for our employees have much to offer.

My work must be meaningful
The results of your work can be seen every day - whether it's a clean neighborhood, well-maintained roads, working public lighting, or demolishing an old industrial building threatening the neighborhood. Making it all work takes a lot of work and effort from people in the field and the company's back office.

Although we are a strong company operating throughout the Czech Republic, our structure is not centralized and everything is not "managed from Prague". We work together as a group of smaller, equal local teams pulling together and working towards a common goal.
This is also reflected in our company culture built on a friendly atmosphere. In fact, you'll be working in a small, stable team that is connected to its location and staffed by people who know and love where they work. You will know all your colleagues and they will know you. Forget the mannerisms of large corporations, impersonal environments and "about us without us" decisions.
Regular gatherings of all employees from across the country at sporting events or the AVE Christmas party are an integral part of our company culture. We greatly appreciate the cooperation with Eva Samkova, one of the most important faces of Czech sport.

A clean future is indeed our common goal
Caring for the environment is at the heart of our business. When it comes to the waste the company collects, we are strict about the environmental impact of our business. That's why our landfills are not just waste disposal facilities, but are equipped with modern sorting lines, decontamination areas as well as areas for biological waste treatment and facilities for the ecological treatment of leachate. Landfill gas is used to generate electricity etc.
A clean future is a common goal
We are perceived as good neighbours in the regions where we operate. Why? Because we support the development of towns and villages and work with them to support a range of environmental and educational projects and institutions. We invest our time and money where we can help others, where they lack the necessary knowledge or the support of a strong partner. We work together with local people to make improvements. Just as a good neighbour should!
We take part in charity and cultural events, support local clubs and sports clubs.
As part of children's days and country days, our establishments do fun programs and competitions with themes that impact environmental perception and behavior - for example, with themes about waste sorting.
A clean future starts by building on the damage of the past
Unfortunately, we did not inherit our country in the best environmental shape. But this is not a setback for us - on the contrary, it is a chance to do something beneficial for all of us. That's why we are actively helping the environment recover from the impacts of the heavy or chemical industry. And not just here, but across Europe. We return contaminated soils and water bodies to their original state so they can serve people again!
